Contents Measuring

The most basic weighing application… and also the most common for any load cell system. Where the need is very simply to provide a reliable and accurate value. Typically in grammes (g), kilograms (kg) or tonnes (t) – of an amount of material measured in ‘mass’ terms.

Contents Measuring Systems

Wanting to know stock levels is what many end-users require, to know how much of a product is inside a fixed or movable vessel. Alternatively, a container of some kind. Or on a conveyor or some other type of materials/mechanically-handling device. As well as the weighing on or in a machine at any given time. They need to know this as accurately as possible and without any undue knock-on effect. Either the product or process concerned or its surrounding plant and equipment.

Simple and effective, reliable and cost-effective. That’s what today’s load cells give you for any Process Weighing application.

Why Contents Measuring By Weight?

Importantly on many occasions, mass-measurement is not affected by factors such as product density or ‘phase’. If the measuring material is in contact with the surface of its containing medium, it will also add to the total weight. Hence accuracy will not only tend to be very good. Its repeatability (which can be the main requirement rather than error in itself) will normally be excellent. This is often what a process needs and what the manufacturer wants so that accurate predictions. As well as decisions can be made about production and plant and equipment performs to its best.
